GSGP's Summer 2026 Publications

The initial publications of the Center for Gulf Studies and Global Policies (GSGP) focused on Gulf security. In the first study, titled "The Mecca Agreement: Turkey–Saudi Arabia–Pakistan Alignment and the Making of a New Regional Security Order" Prof. Dr. Numan Telci and Dr. Ömer Behram Özdemir examined the recently signed Mecca Agreement among Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan. This study addressed the historical and political background of the defense agreement, its implications, and potential future scenarios. Meanwhile, in his study titled "Why Is There No Joint GCC Foreign Policy Toward Iran?", Dr. Gökhan Ereli analyzed the impact of Iran's regional policies on GCC member states in the Gulf and explored the reasons behind the lack of a unified GCC foreign policy stance regarding Iran.
